My thoughts with Richard and family.
I’ve known of Catherine and Reg since babyhood because Reg was Dad’s cousin. Always in awe.
What an amazing woman and an amazing legacy. May God richly bless all the women she has helped in the past and into the future. RIP Catherine.
A brilliant lady who left behind one hell of a legacy.
I was inspired by Catherine’s generous sprit and determination to help those forgotten and out of sight.
May she rest in peace forever and may she never be forgotten.
This is like losing a member of the family.very sad news
I had the pleasure and honour of meeting Dr Hamlin on several occasions including a visit to the hospital in Addis Ababa. In the 27 years I worked for the Australian Government’s aid program, Dr Hamlin was the best person and the hospital and its work was the best thing I ever had the privilege to meet and experience. In her dealings with me she always felt like a grandmother, so humble and gracious, and yet she achieved the most amazing success in caring for the women of Ethiopia. A life well lived.
Dear Catherine,
You have been a model for the world and the world will miss you very much. Me too.
Hearing Dr. Hamlin talk with Oprah touched and opened my heart so very deeply. One year later, I was lucky enough to meet her and see her hospital. Meeting her was one of the highlights of my life. I will do my best to continue supporting your work Dr. Hamlin. Rest in peace.
Catherine was such an inspiring lady to live out her values of serving “the least of these” till the day she died. her reward on earth and in heaven is rich.
To her family and staff of Hamlin and all the women and families she has helped caring thoughts to you as you will deeply miss her. May you continue to fulfil her vision. With sympathy and gratitude for a life so well lived.
Reunited with your beloved. Home at last.
Truly an inspiring woman. What a legacy she leaves behind
