I am so saddened by the passing of Dr Catherine Hamlin. What an amazing life – she improved the lives of so many women and babies – not only by addressing their basic health needs but also by fighting the stigma around birthing and women’s reproductive health. My thoughts are with everyone who knew Dr Hamlin. She was an inspiration and her legacy will live on.
