I didn’t meet Dr Hamlin, but I did meet her great niece who lives in the wet set suburbs of my town of Newcastle. I was asked to teach crochet with my daughter to a group organised by the niece in Darby St as a promotion for the work of D Hamlin; dr Hamlin has left a wonderful legacy by helming so may women and their families.
