I consider Catherine Hamlin one of the true heroes of our time. Her work was revolutionary and life-changing for so many women, families and communities. Reading Hospital by the River changed my world view forever, and made me passionate to this cause. I hope that the Hamlins’ fistula work will continue on as their legacy until it is needed no longer. Although her serene presence will be keenly missed, I am sure she has been received home with much celebration and joy.
