I am filled with sorrow at the passing of such a magnificent woman. I am a midwife and have long been inspired by Catherine’s work. Catherine taught me to seek for the best possible outcome for all childbearing women and to practice my midwifery with hope, clarity and grace. My thoughts go out to her family at this time and hope that the next generation of Hamlin medical staff and midwives continue her legacy with the same strength and passion that Catherine brought to work everyday.
